German Hermle has 300 years history, its mechanical movement inherent in a kind of time precipitation temperament.This product is an original mechanical movement clock from German Hermle which has mechanical single bell RBI, single box and 14 days of kinetic energy.This design takes"time gravitation" as the concept,interpreting that everything in the world changes with the passage of time through the relationship between the main form and the mechanical movement.Time seems to have an invisible attraction, quietly grasping all the things around, changing their original form. The clock takes time as the center, the frame all around represents bending to the clock by the gravity of time.The design concept match with the temperament of mechanical clock. It is succinct and steady, quiet and tensile. It shows the dynamic modern sense of beauty.

This design let the clock shell is no longer just a frame, but form interaction with classic movement,combine static with dynamic ,so that the overall product has more dynamic visual tension, add a unique landscape visual environment for the users.In the design, not like the general product in the function of the visual sense of beauty, but want to allow users to feel the tension in their surface, feel the product expression of deep-seated retro, and the significance of modern cultural heritage.

In 2017 China International Furniture Fair(Guangzhou)，the product reservation in the exhibition site was full,which represents the market potential of this product.

This design is practical, at the same time, let the clock visual performance jump out of this type of product, maintain mechanical clock's sense of classical and give it modern temperament.So that add vitality to the product and carry on the retro and modern fashion culture.

Earlier stage of project,we analysed domestic and foreign well-known brands of similar products through market research and classified design styles.Then sought out the keywords that can show the clock style through "Mind map" .Finally,we set "time"as the keyword for a multi day brainstorming, filtered out the "gravity" as "time" interpretation and finished the design.

This project wants to design a mechanical clock with modern feeling and we designed a vigorous dynamic mechanical clock that once showed it we received great recognition.Its meaning of "time gravity" brings the product an inherent cultural sedimentation and fashionable breath,believed that it can bring a different visual experience to the current mechanical clock market.
