作品简述
用乐高积木来演示AR,用AR来讲内容,这听上去像是苹果在WWDC上做的事,而另外一家科技巨头公司阿里巴巴却尝试着想用乐高和AR打造一个阿里之城。(Alitopia) 虽然这个由乐高MOC团队搭建的城市是用4万块乐高积木及上百个乐高人物和道具组成,但这绝不是一个乐高的广告。事实上,这个装置致敬了美剧《硅谷》的片头,一个不断由科技公司起高楼和高楼倒的10秒兴衰史。而这个片头里,就埋了一个“阿里巴巴”的彩蛋,而今天,阿里巴巴把这个彩蛋接了过来,打造了一个实体版的“阿里硅谷”, 英文叫Alitopia,这个梗也来自电影 “Zootopia(疯狂动物城)”,埋梗的也是阿里生态的命名体系-阿里的所有产品:天猫,河马,飞猪,蚂蚁……都是由动物组成。 除了一个精致的装置以外,阿里巴巴当然是用它来讲故事。这个故事不但是讲给公众听的,同时也要讲给政府听。故事的核心是城市中心的“ET大脑”,这个长的像人工人脑的建筑模拟了一个城市的人工智能中心,就是科幻片里的那种。而城市里面的每个建筑,车辆,运维系统都是大脑的神经元。建筑着火了,消防和医院自动收到讯息,绿波带启动,社会车辆收到讯息主动让道,救护车一路无停到现场。没错,这就是一个简单的IOT的故事,而用AR叠加乐高大电影的方式正是阿里巴巴用好玩的方式来试图把专业的大数据故事讲给不专业的公众来听,并谋求政府的支持。
用户价值
为这个项目的创意公司VAVE Studio,试图在模型里面埋下许多和阿里生态圈相关的彩蛋。比如城市里面的城市广场雕塑,就是阿里西溪园区里面那个低头看自己“弟弟”的雕塑。观众用AR扫描到这个点的时候,阿里园区的故事就会跃然纸上。 通过这些包含“彩蛋”的城市模型,阿里巴巴希望观众关注的不仅仅是一个巨大的经济体,而是这个经济体背后,和民生相关的各种温情故事。

此项目在2018云栖大会上受到了参观者的驻足,是当时最火爆的展位之一
社会影响
通过趣味性的表述,让大家更浅白的了解IoT,这些包含“彩蛋”的城市模型,观众关注的不仅仅是阿里巴巴这样一个巨大的经济体,而是这个经济体背后,和民生相关的各种温情故事。
团队组织
这个项目一共有四个团体组成,首先是VAVE作为设计创意方,前期设定了设计方向与故事脚本。第二个是乐高团队,负责将我们设想的阿里之城创建出来。第三个是机械的工厂团队,将所有的机械联动实施出来。最后一个是多媒体开发团队,AR的开发及编程也是整个项目的核心工作。
流程方法
这是首次乐高沙盘与AR结合的项目,所以中间的沟通和实施也是面临了很多挑战。
达成情况
目标就是让参观者可以乐在其中,更浅白的了解阿里巴巴这样一个如此强大的经济体和令人费解的IoT知识点。而我们确实可以在云栖大会现场发现目标达到了,参观者玩的非常开心。
Project Description
Alibaba, known as one of the largest China's technology companies, tried to use lego bricks to build a future city while using AR technic to spread the messages to visitors. An Ali Future City (Alitopia) was built. Although the Alitopia was made up of 40,000 Lego bricks and hundreds of Lego characters and props, this is definitely not a Lego advertisement. In fact, under such a sophisticated installation, Alibaba used it to tell the story of the Alibaba ecosystem and the smart city emergency management system. At the heart of the story is the “ET brain” in the city center. This long artificial brain-like building simulates a city's artificial intelligence center, and every building, vehicle, and operation systems in the city is are the part of the brain neuron. When the financial building was on fire, the smoke was detected in the building and triggered the alarm. ET brain received the message and dispatched the nearest fire truck and the ambulance automatically. The “green route” started, the social vehicle received the message and gave way for the emergency to make sure both fire truck and ambulance could arrive at the fire scene promptly. Yes, this is an example of IoT, Alibaba uses a fun way to try to tell the professional big data concept to the ordinary people and seek for government support.
User Value
As the creative studio of this project, VAVE tried to hide many surprises, which related to the Ali ecosystem in the model. For example, the sculpture in the city centre is the sculpture in front of the DingTalk building in Ali Hangzhou Park. When the audience scans with AR, the story of DingTalk will be shown on the screen. Through these urban models that contain "surprises", Alibaba hopes that the audiences will focus not only on a huge Ali economy, but on the warmth stories behind the economy and related to people's livelihood.

Social Impact

Team Structure
Four teams worked together to build this exhibit. First of all, VAVE, as a design and creative role. We set the concept and lead the way. And secondly, our lego partner who helped us to built these lego cities out. Thirdly is our factory partner who helped us on those mechanism parts and the basic model table. Lastly, the multi-media partner who did the programming for AR.

Project Achievements
The goal was to let visitors enjoyed the exhibit and learnt more about Alibaba, being such a powerful economy group and inexplicable IoT knowledge. And we can indeed find the target at the Computing Conference site, and the visitors were really enjoyed it.
