承蒙达明墙纸的邀请为其沙田的新陈列室设计其室内装潢,新陈列室占地约737呎,陈列室除墙纸外还有许多不同的室内装饰产品。考虑到其品牌多元化的产品特色,我们认为室内设计,墙纸它们的本质都是以设计来展现品牌独特个性,因此这次的陈列室设计我们便糅合简约美学,把设计概念回归至最原始的状态,以「纸」为设计核心,借着不同的形态,素材,色调为媒介,把空间内的焦点聚集于产品和店内的互动体验。借陈列室的空间规划,环境氛围营造宾至如归的感觉,创造一个具美感,能传递品牌特色实用的商业空间,带来让人驻足细味的设计细节。
用户价值
由于陈列室面积只有约737呎,店内墙纸选择众多,空间规划成为项目中最重要的一环。在这项目中我们着重空间的使用和流动性,在希望保持陈列室的空间感,让客人有一个舒适开放的洽谈和展示空间。 首先,陈列室以天然木材和色调呈现温暖舒适的空间氛围,低调而不失个性的墙纸区分空间的功能,保持陈列室的简洁感也自然地把视线聚落于产品。更特别把木条子排列出弧线的间隔、在部分墙身铺上浅色木纹墙纸营造温馨和谐感觉。第二,陈列室内的几组呈弧形的半腰柜组,以吧台为设计概念提供开放流线型的洽谈和展示区; 特色的天花设计把灯光投射于半腰柜,并贴上丰富多采的墙纸作饰面把产品完美融入陈列空间,同时减少柜组对空间造成的视觉压迫感和连接整个空间的流动性。 第三,绕着陈列室的墙身部分,两组陈列架设计灵感分别汲取自「纸」自然呈现的弧线形态和堆叠出来的层次感。有别于传统翻页展示板,设计师把墙纸展示板设计成树叶轮廓般向上下两端渐渐收细,并且向两侧平行层叠式摆放,借并凑不同的墙纸与地板样本让产品一览无遗。更特别在两组陈列架加上铜色金属钢边框,与木制的陈列架形成强烈对比,为空间增添一抹现代精致的奢华感。这两组充满心思的陈列架设计与特色天花和木条子的渐层、弧线设计互相呼应,为空间带来更丰富的层次质感和视觉效果。
商业表现
这项目是达明墙纸首间位于大型家居主题商场HOMESQUARE,也是该商场内首间专卖墙纸的陈列室。陈列室以「纸」为重点的独特设计概念和店内的每个用心设计细节,在开幕当日便吸引了多个本地设计杂志和媒体采访。此外,陈列室的空间布局有别于一般墙纸公司的设计,特别以环型的吧台作洽谈空间,增加店员与客人之间互动。除安装于墙身的几组陈列架,我们亦利用吧台的空间摆放大量的墙纸版, 就好像图书馆般欢迎客人以自助形式取阅。虽然陈列室面积不大但功能齐备,设计亦令人眼前一亮。
社会影响
我们认为要创造出色的商业空间设计,必须深入了解品牌独特的理念、产品特色,借店面规划设计、环境氛围和体验,重新呈现、传达品牌信息给客人。这次项目便见证我们在了解品牌的理念和特色之后,成功把产品 - 墙纸它们的本质特色、自然形态套用于室内设计,活现品牌的特色。
团队组织
这次的项目有赖客户对我们的信任和紧密的沟通,让我们的设计团队得以发挥创新的设计并完成项目。在设计初期,公司内部的市场推广部及设计团队积极的与客户会面和讨论设计,深入了解客户的公司背景、产品特色、对陈列室的设计需求等方面的资料,并由设计团队构思设计理念、并进行物料家品等采购。此外除了一班专业且充满热情的设计团队外,我们亦有自己的工程项目管理团队负责监管工程之进度和质量,以确保整个工程项目能预期进行。
流程方法
这次的项目能达至我们与客户预期的成果,有赖我们在设计初期积极紧密的与客户沟通,在充分了解客户的设计需求后,我们亦会提供一些设计照片作参考以确保双方有一致的设计共识,比如: 陈列室内的特色天花和陈列架的具体设计,除设计图纸上的表达外,我们也提供一些纸张层叠的层次、线条、光影等效果图片,让客户预视我们想要达成的效果。此外,我们的工程管理团队亦会提供一份完整工程时间表给客人,确保每个工程项目能按阶段预期完成,定期负责监管工程的进度与现场施工的师傅讲解每张设计图纸的详细资料。因此整个项目得以顺利完成,达至预期的成果。

项目从设计至完成工程共使用了6个月的时间。
达成情况
对于这次的项目,我们目的是创造一个具设计美感同时能传递品牌与产品特色的实用商业空间,为店内带来让人驻足欣赏的设计细节,而我们深信这项目的成果正好印证着团队对设计美学的坚持和用心。
Project Description
Our design of the new showroom for Tat Ming Wallpaper Company located in Shatin and covered an area of 737 sq. ft. Regards to its diversified home decorating products, we believed that the essence of both interior design or wallpaper is designed to show our characters. Inspired by the natural form of WOOD and PAPER, the overall design combines simple aesthetics, focus on a harmonious combination between materials, form, colors and the product itself. With the great planning at space and design, the customers will feel welcoming and warm while they are visiting in the showroom.
User Value
Since the showroom area is only about 737 miles, and space planning is the most important part of the project. In this project, we focus on the use of space and mobility, and we hope to maintain the spacious feelings so that guests have a comfortable and open negotiation and display space. First, with natural wood and paint color to remain a sense of simplicity, the wooden floor is paired with light wood textured wallpaper, wooden beams partition lined in a random curve to create a warm, cozy and contemporary interior. Several groups of curved cabinets inspired by bar table concept are arranged in the center to create a streamlined display and discuss area. The use of ceiling adds a special ceiling design and allows the light go through on the cabinet, while perfectly integrate the wallpaper into space by affixed with colorful wallpaper as the finish, not only improve the mobility of the entire space, also reduces the visual crowdedness caused by the cabinet. Thirdly, The two sets of display stands are inspired by the natural curved and layered shape of the paper. The rounded swirling rack is inspired from a flipping book giving a circulation as interaction for viewing more samples of flooring. Different from the traditional design, the display board of wallcovering is designed like the leaf to gradually taper at the upper and lower ends and to stack them side by side in parallel, mix & match different wallpapers and flooring samples at a glance. Design of these display stand is perfectly echoed with the ceiling and curved beams that bringing richer and visual effects. In addition, the designer especially adds a metal steel frame to the two sets of display racks, adding a touch of modern luxury to space.
Business Performance
This project is the first showroom that Tat Min Wallpaper have in the largest one-stop home furnishing shopping mall - HOMESQUARE, which is also the first showroom in the mall to sell wallpaper. The unique design concept focusing on "paper" in the showroom and the details of each design in the store have attracted a number of local design magazines and media interviews on its open ceremony. In addition, the layout of the showroom is different from the traditional wallpaper company. In particular, the curve-shaped bar table is used as a meeting space to enhance the interaction between the staff and the guests. Apart from the several sets of display racks installed near the wall, we also use the space on top of the bar table to display sample board of wallpapers, just like the library which welcomes the guests to read by themselves. Although the showroom is small in size but fully functional with its the eye-catching design.
Social Impact
We believe that in order to create an excellent commercial space design, we must deeply understand the unique concept of the brand, product features, and re-present and convey brand information to the guests through storefront planning and design, environmental atmosphere and experience. This project witnessed the success of our products, wallpapers, their essential features and natural forms, and the characteristics of the brand.
Team Structure
In the early stage of design, our internal marketing and design team actively met with the client and discuss for the design concept, in-depth understanding of the client's company background, product features, design requirements for the showroom, etc., and the design team conceived the design concept, and responsible for all materials sourcing. In addition to a professional and enthusiastic design team, we also have our own project management team to oversee the progress and quality of the project to ensure that the entire project can be expected.
Flow
This project achieved our and client's expectation as we rely on our close communication with our customers at the beginning of the design stage. After fully understanding the design needs of our client, we have also provided some design photos for reference to ensure a mutual understanding. Such as The ceiling fixture and display rack, in addition to the expression on the design drawings, we also provided some mood photos of layers of paper, layers, lines, light, allowing our client to preview the effect we want to achieve. Also, our project management team will also provide a complete project schedule to the client to ensure that each project stage can be completed as expected, and supervise the progress of the project with the contractor to explain the details of each design drawing. Therefore, the entire project was successfully completed and the expected results were achieved.

The project took 6 months from the design to completion.
Project Achievements
For this project, our goal is to create a practical commercial space with a design aesthetic that can convey the brand and product features, bringing design details to the store, and we are convinced that the results of this project have been proofed our persistence and intention to bring aesthetics design to the industry.
