ISLAND can be used for casual meeting and reception. The product is named ISLAND because the islands are scattered all over the sea, but below the sea, each island is connected to the continental plate, as is everyone in the office space. They are closely connected, cohesive, cooperative and supportive.

This sofa has 2 kinds of leg which are metal frame and wooden frame. The metal frame has more wisdom and efficient feeling, and the wooden frame has more casual and comfort feeling. The structure of ISLAND sofa is simple, which has only 3 parts: backrest, seat and frame. They can be separated completely. Besides, the leather cover has zipper so the foam and leather cover can be separated too. The feature that all parts of the material can be completely disassembled is the last step for YAVON to carefully consider the sustainability of the product, that is, when the product is replaced in the future, all parts can be completely disassembled, and when the product is recycled, it can be classified carefully to effectively reuse various materials. ISLAND inherited the beauty of tradition and combine the soul of modern by combining those two features.

There are 5 full-time members involved in the project, who are respectively responsible for research, design, engineering, evaluation and market.

1. The appearance of ISLAND sofa simulates the ups and downs of the island, presenting a beautiful and coherent surface, making the sofa more alive; 2. The vivid curved surface design, in addition to considering the appearance, also combines ergonomics to make the ISLAND sofa blend with the user's body curve, creating a more comfortable experience; 3. The metal frame adopts thin lines to neutralize the block feeling of the upholstery. Considering the balance between the thin and stable structure, the designer selects flat iron, which is spiral in the back leg near the cushion to break the dull feeling.

The project took two year from project establishment to design delivery, and the development cost was 300000 yuan.
