To cater to the low water pressure environments that are prevalent in Asian markets due to poor maintenance or low water supply, the head shower and hand shower of the S400 Exposed Shower System have been designed and engineered to perform well under low pressure conditions, enabling users enjoy a comfortable, rejuvenating shower regardless of water pressure.

The S400 Exposed Shower System is a collaboration between the design team and the local teams to gather insights through behaviour surveys, with R&D to develop technologies and features that deliver the right level of experience and address pain points through prototyping and user testing, and with the brand teams to create the relevant messaging and assets to communicate the product’s value proposition and benefits.

The S400 Exposed Shower System cleverly utilizes the brand’s three signature elements to pair modern simplicity with innovative space and function optimisations. The prominent head shower uses the Squoval form to add a human element while also providing wide, full-body coverage for a better shower experience. For users who prefer the hand shower, a smooth sliding mechanism makes it easy to adjust the hand shower’s height with one hand. On the control unit, both the diverter knob for outlet selection and lever handle for adjusting flow and temperature feature the Tension curve to enhance comfort, and Volcano controlled organic transitions to add sophistication and invite user interaction, while the flat top of the control unit also doubles as a storage shelf.

The S400 Exposed Shower System took close to 2 years to develop. Starting from the gathering of accurate user insights, we then invested in the development of new technologies and features to address the needs that were uncovered, undergoing many rounds of prototyping to ensure the shower system could deliver the performance it needs to while remaining at an accessible price. Our investment has allowed us to create a product that not only offers differentiated features in comparison to other products in its price range, but also serves as a platform to extend into a full range of integrated bathroom solutions with differing levels of benefits and price points.
