The Rotunda collection is inspired by Japanese Zen garden culture. It is designed to create an elegant and interesting tea-drinking experience for tea-drinkers. This collection transforms the artistic conception and elements of Zen garden into the simplicity of pottery and teaware with gritty touch. The combination of black and white colors also interprets the “blank-leaving” spirit of Zen garden. The whole collection is a miniature landscape of the Japanese Zen garden.

The Rotunda collection is the first tea set that creates a special teacup for hosts. In this collection, there are five black cups for guests and a white cup for the host. The conical-shaped teacups shall be placed upside down to save space when not using them. The design of a two-layer tray is considered both functionality and entertainment. The upper layer is a dry tea tray with protruded-center and sinking-side of the surface that allows tea to flow into the lower layer itself. It could also be used as a teapot mat. The lower layer creates a pottery-made landscape that when pouring tea in, the artistic conception of the lake and the stone will appear. The inner walls of the tea ware are glazed with transparent glazes, which can be used for brewing different kinds of tea.
