The six company’s jewels (Roca Galleries) conceived as a knowledge exchange platforms for the sustainability and innovation around the world, have become authentic cultural reference points in the cities in which they are situated. Based on their prestige, Francesc Rifé Studio has created a concept design for the new Roca Shanghai Gallery that seeks to stand up the brilliance of the brand.

Roca Shanghai Gallery has been designed to host events, exhibitions and conferences at the same time that different environments are distributed in the form of displays, with the aim of presenting the company’s collections and accessories. The result is an multipurpose space designed for maximum usefulness and versatility.

As a famous Spanish sanitary brand with a hundred years of ingenuity, Roca hopes to stimulate sparks of inspirations with Chinese cultural, and builds the Roca as a multidimensional comprehensive empathetic brand. Shanghai Gallery has successfully helped Roca build the image in interior designers and architects community. Meanwhile, events hosted in gallery bring potential business opportunities.

Design by Francesc Rife Studio, the team of professionals from a variety of design background, including industrial design, graphics and art direction.The studio has won many design Awards, such as the Contract World Awards, red dot, Chicago HiP, ICFF editorial Awards, FAD Awards and some ASCER Awards.

Brass is the main material used, bringing both a poetic narrative to the space and practicality, since this material ages beautifully. Along these lines the new interior combines sophistication with the most natural part of life: the main living spaces of a house are represented throughout the entire interior with interactive installations about life experiences (Rituals), and numerous audiovisual screens with images recreating flows and movements of water (Fluxus) that will allow to experience the brand and materiality differently. The biggest aim is to reinforce the bond between the visitors and the space.

Roca wants to build the Gallery as a multidimensional comprehensive empathetic experience site combining bathroom spaces, art, design, technology and cultural experience. 50 related activities have been organized in 2018, Roca has built a networking platform to link professionals to meets the goals through those activities.
