Ultraworks team loves every elements about the universe. We put great effort on studying the history about the space exploration and transforming these inspirations into our design. We understand that creating a watch with simple forms and neat graphic elements can be very challenging. Ultratime 001 took inspirations from the spacecraft speedometer. It is a unique and classy timepiece perfectly balanced in design and function. We believe that ultratime 001 is a timeless design. Ultraworks is a multi-disciplinary design unit based in Macau. We are good at combining avant design language with radical ideas to create unique design experience. Ultratime 001 is our first timepiece design. We worked very hard to create a mind-blowing moment in our daily life. Thus we paid much attention to the details that makes ultratime 001 so different and distinctive. The irregular arrangement of the numerals are presented neatly on the hours and minutes discs separately.

Different from common watches, we adopt a turntable design. Together with the electroplating indicator on the glass, it forms a unique way to read time. The numbers arranged in a reverse order signify that “A boat sailing against the current must forge ahead or it will be driven back.” It reminds us to cherish time and the present. We have a little adjustment on minute meters, among which 18 is highlighted, in order to tellus to keep passionate about our life. 001 series integrate our thinking of time and ideas for creation, so that every wearer could feel our pursuit of and persistence on details.

In the two years after the project was released, it won praise and support from various fields through the hard work of the team. We have cooperated with many galleries and renowned design shops. A number of major online promoting accounts in social media also constantly send invitation for collaboration. Our market exposure and brand awareness have achieved very outstanding results.

Once there was a saying that deeply moved our team members, “We did not own the past or future. What we have is only now.” indeed, we cannot control time, so we need to really cherish every moment in the present. It might not be unprecedented, but I believe it can strike a resonance among us. We dare not to say that it could influence society, but we only have one goal, that is, let human being live with more fun and quality.

Ever since the landing of the project, the feedbacks moving us a lot not only come from customers, but also even from many peers and designing institutes that give us great positive remarks.
