Environmental Protection and Regeneration, for a Spiritual Hometown。 Serious plastic pollution and serious deforestation: The birth of the brand of "Legend of Seacraft Wood". Taking the ancient seacraft wood as creative material, with the idea of ecological regeneration, the works create the differentiated modern cultural and creative products for the study. The product strives to combine the traditional cultural connotation and craftsmanship spirit with the modern design idea, so that everyone can touch the inward warm hometown through the perceptual life aesthetics. We have made repeated consideration of the details of taking and screwing the pen cap. Some similar products have concave position for people to hold pen, but the reality is that every one is different in pen holding position. we repeatedly do experiments to find a minimum distance for holding the pen, without concave position, and upper limit, so that people take can hold the pen as they like, which has been praised by the customer. In the tactile experience, we retain the rough texture of seacraft wood and discard the smooth shaft, which does not provide the slippery feeling even if the hand perspires. 3. In addition, according to the place of use, we have designed pen anchor and bag. If the pen is placed on the office desk, it can be sheathed into the anchor, which is like a magic cudgel, showing elegant demeanor on the desk. The pen can be put into the bag if you carry it with you. Taking the gambiered Guangzhou gauze as material, the pen bag also has intimated deerskin inner bag. In dark and calm color, gambiered Guangzhou gauze has temperament matching that of seacraft wood, with noble air, allowing customer to feel the preciousness, and remembering the deep affection of the giver forever. 4. To add to the noble air, we adopt the technology of silver embedding and setting. In the "Pine, bamboo and plum blossom - three durable plants of winter" series, the bamboo has three sections, embedded with silver bamboo branch, which serves as decoration and pen holder, indescribably beautiful. Team Structure
Consistent improvement and concerted efforts Since its establishment in 2016, the whole Legend of Seacraft Wood project has lasted for three years. Two members of the design team have made five major adjustments to the design, and the details have been improved as many as 40 times. The design team is mainly responsible for the design of product appearance and function, carefully gauging every detail, proportion and function, including ergonomics: writing distance, grip feel, etc. Two members of the production team are mainly responsible for completing the original design idea and putting forward reasonable improvement suggestions.
Flow
Through three choices and one shade drying, it has two innovations: the head can be held in place by magnets, the ring does not come off, the writing is smooth and the pen is high-grade. The whole process is centered on respect and abandons the modern thinking that everything must be done quickly. The natural process of drying in the shade is respected. We respect ourselves and keep improving. We respect our customers and present them with humanistic products.The raw materials of Legend of Seacraft Wood products have gone through three choices and one drying in the shade. The whole process of drying in the shade takes two years, and the natural ancient method of drying in the shade is followed to ensure the stability of wood properties.For the first time, select the high-quality wood sections with more than 15 years of age, cut them into about 80 mm square wood blocks, put them in shade for about one year, then saw the big wood blocks into about 13 mm small wood blocks, and dry them in shade for 6-7 months. In the second selection, remove the cracked and bent wood. After the finished product is made, put the finished product in the shade again for three months. In the third selection, the finished products with deformation and cracking and poor workmanship will be eliminated, and the final qualified products will be coated with olive oil and enter the market. It is safe to say that this process is impossible for competitors in the same industry. The production of screw teeth has been innovated. After several experiments, a special turning method was found out, which almost eliminated the phenomenon of missing teeth in the process of making wooden screw teeth, especially the wooden screw teeth with a pen head. This is also the quality that similar products lack. The head of the pen is sucked in place with a magnet. In use, it is found that the round pen head is easy to roll off and get lost. For traditional metal pens, the cap can be covered on the pen holder, but for wooden pens, this is difficult to achieve. In order not to change its pure appearance, the designer thought hard. Suddenly, the designer had an idea. He installed two magnetic absorbers on both ends of the pen to solve the rolling problem and increase the interaction between the user and the pen. It's fun. The ring does not come off. The biggest problem with the combination of wood and metal is that it expands with heat and contracts with cold. In view of the different expansion coefficient of the two, the metal ring on the wood will almost always fall off. After repeated thinking and experiments, we have found a way to solve this problem. Our pen holder is inlaid with a stainless steel metal ring, which has two functions: one is to decorate the pen to make it more delicate, the other is to increase the bearing capacity of the pen cap and prevent cracking. There is no chromium plating. It is different from the copper ring with wall thickness of 1.2 mm and ring width of 2 mm sold on the market. The ring we developed, only 1.34 mm wide and 0.2 mm thick, makes the pen more delicate. The internal use of imported soft glue structure can effectively prevent the ring from slipping. The refill imported from Germany ensures smooth writing. The packaging box is designed as a small and exquisite cuboid, which is divided into upper and lower layers. The upper layer is for pen and brand blessing, and the bottom layer is for brand culture and pen bag storage. Such design is to save resources and cost, and to facilitate transportation and temporary storage. For customers who buy such a pen as a gift, it's easy to put the pen in the handbag, and it won't cause any inconvenience. This advantage has been proven by many customers. We carefully record the feedback of users, constantly improve and make every excellent pen.
Project Investment
Our Legend of Seacraft Wood project started in 2015. After collecting the sea boat wood and drying the logs in the shade, the pen making experiment was started in 2016, and the finished product was initially made after two improvements. In 2017, we designed and developed the accessories on the pen and made the first generation pen model, but there were still some defects at that time. So the team members came to the production line and improved the design scheme according to the production process. The second generation of Haimu pen, a result of three times of improvement, which came out in 2018, was well accepted by customers. In 2020, with minor adjustments carried out, the third generation made its appearance and was well accepted.
