Project Description
Chinese people drink tea, pay attention to the term of "taste". In the busy life, make a pot of tea and drink it in a quiet place can eliminate fatigue and relax mood. However, although the traditional tea sets are good at making tea, they have a high demand for space and a large number of pieces, lacking portability and timeliness. Many people are used to drinking tea with vacuum cup, but it is hard to avoid some bitterness when the tea is soaked too long, and the taste will become much worse, and the too strong tea contains tannic acid and theophylline, which is harmful to the body. Himalayan is a portable thermal tea tumbler which can realize the separation of tea and water. The product adheres to the basic concept of "modern drinking of traditional tea" and advocates making good tea in a simple way. Its unique semi-perforated tea separator can effectively isolate tea leaves and solve the problem of tea regurgitation. The vacuum cup body is easy to carry and has strong adaptability. The concentration of the tea soup can be easily controlled. People can directly taste tea with one click of opening. The materials used meet the high hygienic standards and fill many shortcomings of traditional Chinese tea sets nowadays.

In china, people who like to sip and taste tea have high requirements for tea tumblers. The concentration of tea should be controlled by tea makers, especially black tea and Pu'er. If it is not well controlled, the taste of the tea will be not good and lack sweetness. However, the tea tumblers on the market have two problems: “backflow” and can’t direct drinking. “Backflow” means the tea will contact the tea tumbler repeatedly, which will affect its original flavor. Our product solves both two problems through technological innovation. We design the small pores on the filter net as a gradual change matrix from bottom to top. When the tea passes through the filter net and the tea tumbler is tilted to a plane below 150 degrees, the small pores will be naturally closed, forming a barrier to effectively prevent backflow. Meanwhile, we combine the high-precision processing technology to achieve the visual effect of selective focus and artistically spaced between the tea tumbler and the tea. The design inspiration comes from the Himalayas, the world's highest peak. Tea, tea soap mingled with silhouette pattern of peaks and trees on the glass cup, which integrates the natural vividness.
Social Impact
Today, as traditional Chinese tea is increasingly recognized by modern young people, the market is increasingly demanding products that can be easily carried and professionally brewed. Project Achievements
The original purpose of this project was to design a better tea separation cup on the market, and in the end we created a hand-held cup that would satisfy the three needs of direct drinking, tea separation, and can brew Citrus Ripe Pu-Erh Tea. This is more ideal than originally expected. Because none of the tea separation cup products on the market can meet the above three requirements at the same time, this product fills the gap in the market. And from the market feedback point of view, it has achieved unexpectedly good performance. In order to follow the company's strategy of 'Drink delicately, From Singapore', the project's ultimate promotion of this strategy is to let Singapore's UNIBOTT brand occupy a strategic high point in design and technology leadership in the Chinese cup industry. It is possible for brands to take root in the Chinese market, and let China's consumers who have higher requirements for drinking recognize a brand that is designed to be a drinking experience.
